Refund Policy

1. Free Trial

Every new user receives a 14-day free trial of the Pro plan with all features unlocked. No credit card is required to start your trial. You will not be charged during the trial period.

2. Merchant of Record

All payments for Upwork Scout are processed by Paddle (paddle.com), which acts as our Merchant of Record and authorised reseller. This means that when you purchase a subscription, your transaction is with Paddle, not directly with Upwork Scout. The product is licensed to you by Upwork Scout, but Paddle is responsible for all billing, payment processing, sales tax, and refunds. All transactions are subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms and Conditions.

3. Consumer Right to Cancel

If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel your purchase and receive a full refund within 14 days of completing the transaction, without giving any reason. To exercise this right, contact Paddle before the 14-day period expires. Paddle will reimburse all payments using the same payment method you used for the original transaction.

Exception: Your right to cancel does not apply to digital content that you have already started to download, stream, or otherwise access, or to subscription periods you have already benefited from.

4. Refund Policy

Beyond the 14-day consumer cancellation period, refunds are handled by Paddle at their sole discretion on a case-by-case basis. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer in relation to products which are not as described, faulty, or not fit for purpose.

5. How to Request a Refund

You can request a refund in two ways:

  • Contact Paddle directly — Use the receipt or payment confirmation email you received from Paddle, or visit paddle.net to initiate a refund or cancellation.
  • Contact us — Email support@upworkscout.com and we will coordinate with Paddle on your behalf.

6. Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled. If you wish to cancel your subscription, please do so at least 48 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your cancellation will take effect at the next payment date, and you will retain access to paid features until then. No further charges will be made after cancellation. There are no refunds on unused subscription periods.

7. After Refund

Upon refund, your account will be downgraded to the Free plan. You will retain access to free features but will lose access to Pro or Business features. Your settings and data will remain intact in case you decide to resubscribe.
